Is It Me Or Is Crime Getting Out Of Control In SWLA?

Is it me or is crime getting way out of control in SWLA? My goodness, it seems like every other day someone is getting shot, breaking out of jail, armed robberies, people involved in shoot-outs with each other or police. Stop the madness! Can't we all just get along?

The latest round-up in the wild-wild Lake area involves 5 individuals involved in ATM burglaries. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, Kayla Vincent, reports a three-month investigation resulted in the arrest. She explained the Sheriff's Dept. got a tip on Monday about the suspect's involvement in the crimes. KPLC reports surveillance of a bank on Nelson Rd. revealed several of the suspects tried to take money out of an ATM.

The local news reports the suspects fled the scene on foot after deputies tried to pull them over upon leaving the bank. To add insult to injury, the truck they abandoned was reported stolen.
