The building where Tennessee Williams wrote 'A Streetcar Named Desire' has housed one of the most beloved and iconc shops in the French Quarter for the last seven years, but sadly, that will come to an end in the near future. Fleurty Girl, which has six locations in the New Orleans area, has lost their lease for the French Quarter location, 632 St. Peter St., between Royal and Chartres streets. They will shut their doors at the end of next month.

Anyone who has ever looked for unique and handmade New Orleans items has probably stopped by at one time or another. Their staff is super friendly, and all of my Saints shirts have come from there. Owner Lauren LeBlanc Haydel let her customers and friends know on Facebook the unexpected turn of events earlier this week. It sounds like they will be looking for another location in the Quarter, and I for one will be a customer. Check out the post below. Good luck to all the employees, and we hope y'all will bounce back soon!
