I-10 Task Force: New Bridge Presentation Tonight At Public Event

The I-10 Task Force will give a presentation tonight in Lake Charles about their plans for a new I-10 Bridge.

The event will take place at Reeves Uptown Catering from 5:30pm to 9:00pm and it's open to the public.

Tickets to the round table discussion and Q & A are $25 and include a buffet.

According to the National Bridge Inventory Database, many sections of the bridge are considered in "serious condition" and the overall structural integrity score for the bridge is 6.6 out of 100!

I don't know about ya'll, but that is scary.  I take this bridge everyday to work coming from Moss Bluff.  Looking at that score, one of these commutes could very well be my last.

I've always been in favor for a new bridge, however, I hope it doesn't take a collapse and lives lost to get it.
