Home Invasion Turns Violent In Sulphur

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff deputies arrested John C. West yesterday after he broke into a home with a baseball bat!

West reportedly beat the ex-girlfriend's door with a baseball bat then kicked it off its hinges and entered the home. CSPO  reported he then went to the bedroom and beat on the bed with the bat. The victim and a 3 year old family member were on the bed. West grabbed the victim by the hair and pulled her to the floor before fleeing with her purse.

West was arrested at his home without incident and is charged with charged with home invasion; domestic abuse battery w/ child endangerment; criminal damage to property; and theft under $500.
