Meteorologists are reporting that Louisiana will experience very severe weather across the state starting tomorrow and moving into Sunday.

According to Louisiana Meteorologist Zack Fradella, almost the whole Bayou State will be in an enhanced severe weather warning this weekend.

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is reporting that we could also see damaging hail with the upcoming storms.

SWLA Weekend Weather Forecast:

  • Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. Southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
  • Saturday: A chance of showers before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10am and 1pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. High near 82. Windy, with a south wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Saturday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Low around 58. South wind 10 to 20 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
  • Sunday: A slight chance of thunderstorms before 7am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10%.
  • Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.
