Downtown is the place to be for a very special event Thursday night. The event is a fundraiser to help defray medical expenses for Angela Gabriel who is paralyzed from the chest down after being shot 9 times. You can only imagine the medical expenses this brave lady has to deal with every day.

Here's a bit about Angela taken from her on-line bio:

Angela Gabriel is most importantly a MOTHER, a SINGLE mother, raising four beautiful children.
Angela's four children are 21, 9, 6, and an 18 month old Downs syndrome child.

She is also an Army Veteran, a Volunteer and a local Keller Williams Realtor. Angela volunteers and is in involved in her children's schools, her ministry and volunteers to bring awareness to Downs Syndrome. She is a Real Estate mentor and Coach within her company, Keller Williams.

Sadly she is also now a victim and survivor of domestic violence.
On February 22, 2017, Angela was shot nine times, leaving her paralyzed from the chest down with no feelings in her waist or legs. Angela suffered a severed spine and has a shattered right shoulder. Two bullet remain in her chest area.

I'll be performing along with my friend, Robert "Red Dog" Hebert at Stellar Beans from 6p.m. until 9p.m. and I'm really looking forward to the event. It's for a great cause and there will be entertainment and a mini Art Walk as well.

Some of the participating downtown businesses include:

Stellar Beans

Botsky's

Sloppy's

The Roundabout - The Roundabout is the vinyl record store downtown right next to Stellar Beans.

Come out, have a great time and get inspired by a very brave lady.

The event is downtown and runs from 4p.m. until 9 p.m.
