Free School Supplies For Pre-K through 8th Grade Students

The Calcasieu Parish School Board (CPSB) announced that the majority of school supplies will be provided for free to Pre-K through 8th grade students.

CPSB officials posted on their social media that the school board and various outside partners will be purchashing all the basic school supplies for Calcasieu Parish public school elementary and middle school students. They went on to say that some supplies may by requested for families to buy for their student(s).

Being a parent, I love this news. I have to be honest with you, every year I dread school supply shopping. The aisles are always full of other parents looking for the exact same things and there's never the right type of folders in stock that the teachers specifically want you to buy. I surely hope this is a practice that the CPSB keeps up every year.
