Free Child Car Seat Giveaway And Safe Installation Check

Was your family affected by Hurricane Laura and/or Delta?  Is so, and you're in need of a free child car safety seat, this event can help.

November 8th and 14th from 12:30pm to 4:30pm, there will a free car seat giveaway at the SWLA Center For Health Services  in Lake Charles.

If interested, you will need to pre-register at umcno.org/childseats.  Print out or take a screenshot of your confirmation email and bring it with you the day of the event.  Also, make sure you come in the vehicle you want the seat installed in with your child so the technicians can properly adjust everything to your child.

It's estimated that 96% of all child restraints are installed incorrectly.

Their team will teach how to:

• Select the proper child restraint
• Ensure that your child is placed into the restraint properly
• Ensure that the restraints is correctly installed in your vehicle

This event is brought by the LA Passenger Safety Task Force, Louisiana State Police, Transportation Highway Safety Administration, and the SWLA Center For Health And Services.
