The Baltimore Ravens have announced that 26-year-old Jaylon Ferguson has died. The team published the notification on social media, in addition to a press release.

The team said in their statement:

"We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson. He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon's family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon."

CBS Baltimore is reporting that Baltimore Police told them that they had officers respond to the 400 block of Ilchester Avenue on Tuesday about 11:25 p.m. for a report of a questionable death. They report the victim in that investigation was a 26-year-old male, although there's been no official link between that investigation, and Ferguson's death.

Ferguson was a third round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Louisiana Tech. In his NFL career, Ferguson started 10 games, while playing in a total of 38 games. He totaled 4.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries over his last three seasons.
