Flyover Planned to Honor SWLA Healthcare Workers

The Louisiana National Guard announced they will perform a flyover of SWLA this week to honor the area's healthcare workers for their bravery and diligence during the coronavirus pandemic.

On Wednesday, a group of Black Hawk helicopters will fly over seven Louisiana cities:

• Lafayette
• Slidell
• Hammond
• Alexandria
• Lake Charles
• Monroe
• Shreveport

If you would like to witness the flyover, the helicopters are scheduled to fly over Lake Charles Memorial Hospital at 1:40pm this coming Wednesday.

Also, if you have happen to be in Lafayette on Wednesday, they are scheduled to fly over Lafayette General Medical Center around noon.

We would also like to say thank you to the law enforcement and National Guard soldiers of SWLA. From working insane hours, to manning food distribution sites, helping in logistics of testing for the virus, and keeping the peace during these hard times, we cannot forget you.
