Tattoos are not rare anymore. You see them everywhere on all kinds of people, but the majority of employers still don't like them no matter how popular they have become.

Applying for a job?  If you think you’ll be judged not for the art on your skin but by the content of your character, you may be wrong.  A survey revealed many employers negatively judge applicants with tats.  Worse yet, some admit they associate tattoos with “thugs and druggies.”  While not every boss uses those exact words, it seems visible ink still comes with a stigma in the professional world.  Experts say that depending on the industry, it’s not always the opinion of the hiring manager that matters- it’s what they believe customers will think about an employee with tattoos.
