One of the area's oldest and most popular restaurants was the scene of a car crash on Saturday night. Around 8:30 a car going west on legion Street failed to stop at that three way intersection and slammed into the front door area of Leonard's Food Quarters.

Luckily, there were no injures other than possibly the driver of the car since the restaurant had closed for the night about an hour before the crash. Both the Lake Charles City police and the Lake Charles Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.

there's no word on when Leonard's will be expected to reopen following the crash nor any estimate of damage to the popular establishment. Also unknown are what charges will be filed against the driver of the car.

Lake Charles Police along with the Lake Charles Fire Department responded to the scene.

The driver will be cited but the exact charges have not been released.
