Domestic Violence Awareness

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and, here in the Lake area, a variety of programs will be presented by Oasis, A Safe Haven.

Oasis, A Safe Haven is sponsoring a number of events in the Lake Area to raise awareness about the problem of domestic abuse.

On October 25th is the 3rd annual Walk to End DV and features a walk from Vinton to Lake Charles and on October there is the annual 'Flowers on the Lake' Ceremony.

the walk will begin in Vinton at 6 a.m. and will conclude in Lake Charles around 4 p.m.

Flowers on the Lake will be at the Lake Charles civic Center Seawall at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 30th.
