A former starter for the New Orleans Saints will be staying with his latest professional team for at least the next few years.

The 29-year old Breaux played in 14 games for the Tiger-Cats in 2018, recording 24 defensive tackles, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, two pass knockdowns and one tackle for loss, while being named an all-star for the second time in his CFL career.

Breaux was the highest-paid defensive back in the CFL in 2018, making slightly less than $200,000.

A native of New Orleans, Breaux started all 16 games for the Saints in 2015, totaling 45 tackles and three interceptions, prior to starting in six games for the team in 2016, when he compiled 21 tackles.

Breaux suffered a fractured fibula in 2017, was placed on injured reserve, and missed the entire season.
