Daring Snake Capture Behind our Studios

Well, the word "daring" may be a bit much since the snake in question is a harmless garter snake. Still, catching him wasn't easy. Those little suckers are fast and don't seem to like to be picked up. This one even coiled up and bit me a couple of times.

92.9 The Lake is located right in front of a swamp and it's not unusual for various animals and creatures to wind up around the station. I've caught several snakes and we even had a visit from a six foot alligator a few years back. Needless to say we've had our share of raccoons making our dumpster a home as well.

I know a lot of people are afraid of snakes, but I wanted to show this little fellow and let you know that, if you see a snake like this around your home, he's completely harmless and will help take care of pesky insects in your garden.
