Clear Water at Rutherford Beach, Louisiana
It was a rare sight at Rutherford Beach in Louisiana. Lauren Leibee took a trip to the beach and stumbled across a rare occurrence that happens every once in a blue moon. The cause of the clear water comes when the current in the Gulf does a switcheraoo and begins to head west.
The brown water is caused from sediment from local rivers emptying into the Gulf of Mexico. As the tide and currents change, they pushes it away, allowing the clearer Gulf water to make its way on shore.
How long will the pretty water last? It can change with the tide, literally. Just in case you missed the pretty water down in Cameron, Lauren was nice enough to share her pictures with us.
