Classic Comedy — Mr. Rogers Meets the Bass Player

The first time I heard this I just lost it. It was first released in 1977 on Label 21 Records as 'That's Not Funny, That's Sick.'

Now, obviously, it's not really Fred Rogers talking to a bass player but it's a pretty spot on impression by Christopher Guest. You may remember Christopher Guess from 'This is Spinal Tap' or "The Princess Bride.'

The guy doing the voice of the bass player? Well, he went on to be pretty well known, too.

Here's a shot of Guest as the evil Count Tyrone Rugen in Princess Bride.

The bit also features a very young Bill Murray as the bass player.
