Back in 2012, Daniel Wayne Duplechin, admitted to vandalizing four area churches but the judge in the case would like to see more evaluation of Duplechin before sentence is passed.

When he was arrested, Duplechin confessed to the crime of vandalism and told authorities that God told him to destroy the statues at the four churches.

Now, the judge in the case, Kent Savoie, would like to see Duplechin undergo more evaluation before sentence is passed. According to Judge Savoy, he want to make sure he won't act on the voices in the future, for example, if the voices tell Duplechin to kill someone.

Duplechin, who is already serving time on a probation violation for a previous third-offense DWI conviction, appeared in mental health court yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. Sentencing has been delayed until later this year.
