Chee Weez To Headline First Cowboy Block Party Friday In Lake Charles

Get ready Lake Charles! Legacy Jewelers, Chick-Fil-A of Lake Charles, Lake Charles Toyota, and the McNeese Athletic Foundation proudly present the Cowboy Block Party concert series.

The Cowboy Block Party is a free concert that takes place every Friday night before every McNeese Football home game this season. The concerts start at 7:00 pm each Friday night.

The block parties are located on the corner of Common and McNeese streets in Lake Charles at the Robert Noland pavilion.  This event is absolutely free for all ages. Just bring your lawn chair and your ice chest filled with your favorite beverages and you're all set.

The Cowboy Block Party gets started beginning this Friday night, September 16th when The Chee Weez takes the stage to get the 2022 McNeese Football home game season underway.

The Chee Weez is a high-energy live band who dress up and play everything from rock to country to party music. They will definitely have you singing and dancing all night long and get you in the spirit to root the McNeese Cowboys into victory!

The idea behind this is for you to come out with your entire family and enjoy a fun free family-oriented event while getting ready for the McNeese Football game the next night.

The Cowboys will have their first home game of the 2022 season this Saturday night when they host Alcorn State at 7:00 pm inside the Cowboys stadium. This will be the first night game for the pokes in almost two years since Hurricane Laura tore up the lights at the stadium. The good news is the lights are fixed and now we can have night games again!
