CDC Giving Louisiana $7.8 Million to Fight Coronavirus
As part of the $8 billion emergency funding package passed by the U.S. Congress last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is awarding $7,805,064.60 to Louisiana to combat the coronavirus.
U.S. Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) voted for the bill and had this to say:
“My top priority is ensuring our health care providers have the resources they need to keep Louisianians safe and healthy. I’m grateful Congress was able to come together to pass this important measure, and I will continue working to support our state and local partners who are on the front lines of this coronavirus response.”
