The Ferry is set to go for its Coast Guard mandated dry dock. During its dry dock, the ferry will receive upgrades including new engines, transmissions, and other marine upgrades. The ferry was originally set to go to dry dock in May of this year, but the date was delayed due to the Coast Guard needing to find a temporary replacement ferry to put in its place while the Cameron one is being serviced.

Ferry operations will be suspended beginning April 30, 2020 and will be dry docked until the fall of 2021.
