Calcasieu Parish Issues Mandatory Evacuation

Calcasieu Parish officials have issued a mandatory evacuation order for all residents due to Hurricane Laura presenting dangerous conditions. The order went into effect immediately upon its announcement at 11:00am.

Hurricane Laura is expected to be a Category 3 storm when it makes landfall late Wednesday night. Area residents needing transportation to a site outside of the risk area can find a list of pick-up sites at the Calcasieu Parish emergency information page for Hurricane Laura.
