Back in the old days, promoters would pay no attention at all to musical styles when they put a tour package together..that is why

Jimi Hendrix opened for the Monkees or why the Yardbirds opened for Gary Lewis and the Playboys!  Now we have The Beach Boys and Alice Cooper!!!???.

Dozens of acts over four days (June 7-10) will call Bonnaroo ( June 7-10) will feature some pretty unlikely parings...But in this case it just adds up to what could be a fun series of shows and here at FUN RADIO...Well, you get the idea... In addition to The Beach Boys and Alice Cooper will be  Foster The People, The Shins and Bon Iver.

Not so recent acts like  Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead will also be on hand for the fun. This will be one of many stops for The Beach Boys on their 50th anniversary tour, while Jack Bruce ( of Cream fame)  will be performing as part of a new ensemble called Spectrum Road, which also includes Vernon Reid of Living Color and jazz great John Medeski. No other information on Alice, but we assume it’s Alice and his band and not The Alice Cooper Group.

The Bonnaroo Music Festival will be held June 7-10 in Manchester, Tenn.
