People will bet on just about anything. I know people who haven't even seen any of the nominated movies, but will still place a bet on the outcome of the awards show.

If you have an office pool going on, or you just like to bet on such things, here are the Las Vegas odds.

When I say 'my picks', it's more like 'my guesses.' I haven't seen any of the nominated movies.

Here's what I think:

My guess is that '12 Years a Slave' will take Best Picture and Best Director and that Chiwetel Ejiofor will walk away with the Best Actor Award. I know the odds are against me on this one, but I feel that Michael Fassbender will take Best Supporting Actor.

The folks in the Academy love Sandra Bullcok. I think she'll take one home too.

In other words, I think '12 Years a Slave' will take home quite a few Oscars.
