We get them constantly in our mailboxes, the popular 20% off coupon from Bed Bath & Beyond. You either throw it away or you run and try to buy something you don't need with a discount.

Bed Bath & Beyond has decided to pull the reins back on their famous blue coupons in order to boost their profits as we get into the holiday season. According to an article from CNBC, the big box store's Chief Merchandising Officer announced the pull back. According to the triple B, they studied over 400 million customer shopping habits and found almost half didn't even use the coupon they were sent.

They analyzed the average age of their current shopper base and found they are now six years younger than before. They also found their online sales really took off during the pandemic, with their cleaning supplies being quick and easy to order online. They assured investors they weren't going to give the ax to the coupons totally, but we will certainly be seeing less of them stuffed into our mailboxes as the year rolls on.
