Talk about some quick police work. When I first read the story about this tragic story, I thought that there was no way this one could be solved. There just didn't seem to be that much to go on. Well, thanks to some great police work, an arrest has been made in that case.

According to Louisiana State Police Troop D spokesman Sgt. James Anderson, the suspect, who was arrested Monday evening has been identified as Trevino Clark, 42, of Lake Charles. According to the police, a search of Clark's property uncovered the vehicle in question in a barn on Clark's property.

The work in tracking down Clark was a multi agency effort including State Police Troop D, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lake Charles Police Department and the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.

So far, Clark has been charged with a variety of charges including felony hit-and-run, failure to report a crash and driving with a suspended license. It is expected that further charges could be pending against Clark.

Troopers would like to thank media outlets who assisted us by distributing information about this incident as well as citizens who provided us with helpful information, Anderson said.
