Allen Parish Cultural Center Officially Open
Friday was the official grand opening of the all new Allen Parish Cultural Center. It's been a labor of love for the Allen Parish Tourist Commission that has finally come into fruition. With all the setbacks dealt by mother nature, the long awaited project is complete and the center is now open for the public to enjoy for many years to come.
Parish commissioners broke ground on the project roughly three years ago, and the ribbon cutting ceremony took place Friday, June 25. According the AP, the new center features the taste of Louisiana from the history of the parish, to music, food, swamp postcards, and more.
