‘Fresh Prince’ Star Alfonso Ribeiro Suing ‘Fortnite’ & ‘NBA 2K’ Over ‘Carlton Dance’ [VIDEO]
'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' star Alfonso Ribeiro is calling foul on two video game makers.
Ribeiro is suing Epic, which makes 'Fortnite', and Take-Two, the company that makes 'NBA 2K' claiming that both games "feature digital versions of his dance."
There has been much debate on whether or not a dance could be copyrighted, but have you seen the "Carlton Dance" anywhere besides Ribeiro's 'Carlton' character on "The Fresh Prince?"
He's not the only one suing the extremely popular 'Fortnite' game maker. 2 Milly (The Milly Rock) and Backpack Kid (Flossing) have also filed suit for dances they created appearing in the game without permission as well.
Can dance moves be copyrighted? Do they have a case? Only time will tell.
