The most anticipated LSU college football game of the year is about to go down this Saturday in Baton Rouge. It's the annual Alabama versus LSU football game. If you are an LSU fan or a college football fan in general, you know that this game is huge!

The game usually has some form of repercussions for the winner and this year is no different. LSU and Alabama sit tied in first place in the SEC West division with Ole Miss. All three items are 4-1 in SEC play this season.

The LSU Tigers are sitting in the driver's seat though. LSU has already beaten Ole Miss this season and if they can beat Alabama this Saturday, they will be in the driver's seat to head to Atlanta to play for the SEC Championship.

LSU is 6-2 overall and has lost one more game than Alabama and Ole Miss this year but their stellar play in the SEC has them positioned to possibly take over the #1 spot in the SEC West. Alabama is 7-1 on the year with their only loss coming against the now-ranked #2 Tennessee Volunteers.

LSU moved up in the national polls this week as they are now #15 in the AP poll and #17 in the coach's polls. Alabama sits at #6 in both polls.

There is another huge SEC matchup on Saturday as #1 Georgia will take on #2 Tenessee Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm on CBS.

Then get ready for the huge Alabama-LSU game! It will be in Baton Rouge this year which will give the Tigers the home-field advantage. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN and the game will kick off at 6:00 pm.
