(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - NFL star Aaron Rodgers was recently asked if he would consider playing for the New Orleans Saints. Instead of a simple "no", Rodgers went further and dissed Louisiana in his statement. We have all the details.

If you're wondering if Aaron Rodgers is holding out this offseason to complete the Brett Favre career arc, there may be some traction to that story. Both players played for the Green Packers, and then the New York Jets. Favre's last team before he retired was a loaded Minnesota Vikings team who needed a veteran QB to make a run at a Super Bowl. Well, a once again loaded Vikings team could benefit from another Hall of Fame bound QB to try and make a run at a championship while their future QB J.J, McCarthy licks his wounds from last season and learns under one of the best to ever do it.

On the other hand, that's not why we're all here. We want the "tea" on what Aaron said to diss Louisiana.

As most of us know, the NFL season begins in a few short months and minicamps are right around the corner. Most free agent QBs want to get signed before minicamp starts so they can start working on their chemistry between themselves and their skill position players.

However, A-Rod seems more interested in golfing and darkness retreats than building a winner with whatever team he chooses to play for this next season. It's no secret that he hates OTAs and minicamps and will probably sign with a team after they have concluded.

If you listen to the sports media, it seems that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the front runners to gain his services under center for the 2025 season. In fact, it looks like the Steelers are so confident that Rodgers will be wearing the black and yellow this year that they didn't select a QB in the NFL Draft until the 6th round when they pulled the trigger on former Ohio State signal caller Will Howard.

The New Orleans Saints could possibly be in the market for a veteran QB after losing Derek Carr to retirement a few weeks ago.

Rodgers was recently at an event where fans were able to ask him questions. A Saints fan stepped up and asked if he would want to come playing in the Bayou State. He thought about it for a moment, and then said "no", however he didn't stop there with his explanation.

I don't know what age has to do with living in Louisiana, but check out his response below.

What's the real reason A-A-Ron?! This may just me being an offended Louisiana resident hearing things that don't exist, however, the tone from his answer almost sounded like "eeewww, Louisiana...no, never", like he's too good to be caught dead in Louisiana.  Like Louisiana is the Dollar Tree of the United States of America...sorry Dollar Tree, but that's the feeling I got from his response.

Well, buddy we don't need you anyway.  We're trying to rebuild this team with youth, and you ain't it. Later Bruh.
