I've been tinkering around with A.I. song creation here recently and have really formed a passion for it.  So, I decided to and A.I. write and perform a song about the city I love.

First, I needed to figure out what genre I wanted to make the song. My two finalists were country and classic rock. I felt these two genres would be most appealing to the SWLA audience. I then decided that between the two, that country would be the best direction to move in with the song.

Second, I needed to name the artist and create a picture.  I wanted him to be in his mid-20s and have a catching "country artist" sounding name. After trying a few different A.I. photo generation websites, I settled on using OpenArt.AI.

I asked the program to make me a picture of a man in his 20s in a black cowboy hat in the country.

I give you Cody Ryan:

Ok, next I need to write the lyrics of the song.  For this task I used ChatGPT. With the song be country, I knew I had to write a song about a guy chasing after a beautiful girl that has just knocked his heart for a loop when he saw her.  The whole love at first sight type thing.

I asked the program to write me a song about falling in love with a girl from Lake Charles and to include the words Interstate 10, Zydeco, Cajun, and bayou.

Girl From Lake Charles Lyrics:

Verse 1: Driving down Interstate 10, heading west, Caught a glimpse of Lake Charles, and I must confess, Didn't expect to find a love so true, But there she was, with eyes so blue.

Pre-Chorus: She had that southern charm, that Cajun grace, A little bit of heaven in this quiet place, From the bayou breeze to her loving ways, She stole my heart, now I’m here to stay.

Chorus: Falling in love with a girl from Lake Charles, She’s got me dreaming under southern stars, With every kiss, I fall deeper in her arms, In Lake Charles, I found my heart.

Verse 2: Met her by the water, where the sun sets low, In the soft glow of the evening, our love began to grow, We'd dance to the tunes of an old zydeco band, Holding her close, I felt like a new man.

Bridge: Interstate 10 brought me to her door, Now I can't imagine wanting more, From the Louisiana night to the morning light, In her loving arms, everything's alright.

Chorus: Falling in love with a girl from Lake Charles, She’s got me dreaming under southern stars, With every kiss, I fall deeper in her arms, In Lake Charles, I found my heart.

Outro: Now every sunset paints a memory so fine, In Lake Charles, she’s forever mine, With my Lake Charles girl, everything’s just right, In her loving arms, I’ll stay every night.

With the lyrics done, all we have left is to add music and vocals to finish the song. Luckily, I found an amazing website called SUNO that does all that in one. So, I copy and pasted the lyrics into the program, told it I wanted a country song and wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am we had a finished song!

Finally, we needed a lyric video to put it up YouTube. I found the website VEED, and the rest is history.  Enjoy the song and share it with your friends and family.
