Suspect in Shooting Surrenders to Police
This past Monday, shots rang out on North Simmons street and Gary Obrien was shot to death in the incident. According to detectives, the trio entered the residence and demanded money from the 31 year-old Obrien. When Obrien did not respond to the demand, one of the trio shot and killed him.
On Thursday of this week, Devonta Deywane Orphey, 23, and Devin Jalmal Holefield, 25, were arrested in Waco, Texas, by the Lone Star Task Force. Another man who was arrested in connection with the crime, Justin D. Landry, 20, was not involved in the crime.Landry was arrested after "the wrong information was given to investigators about his involvement with the homicide."
Yesterday,16 year-old Justin Ned voluntarily turned himself in to authorities in Iowa.Justin Ned, 16 was wanted on various charges including first-degree murder,three counts of armed robbery and three counts of robbery with a firearm. Ned is now in the Juvenile Detention Center without bond.
