The 2020 Mardi Gras season is in full swing and will come to a climatic conclusion next week full of Mardi Gras events and parades.

The streets will be full all over Lake Charles for festivities and parades.  Here is a schedule of events and parades for the upcoming 2020 season.

Saturday Feb. 15th, 2020 --

The city of Vinton, Louisiana will hold their annual Mardi Gras and it will take place in downtown Vinton from 8am to 4pm.

Thursday, February 20th, 2020 --

Gator 99.5 will camped out at the Good Times RV parking lot party spot and the radio station is going live each day from the camping grounds so come by and see us!  We will have prizes to giveaway all weekend!

The lighted Mardi Gras boat parade.  The parade will take place along the Lake Charles Civic Center Lakefront Promenade at 7pm.

Friday, February 21st, 2020 --

The Merchants parade will start at the Lake Charles Civic Center and head down Ryan Street in downtown Lake Charles and will head South on Ryan to Sale Road.The parade starts at 7 p.m.  Our very own Mike Soileau will serve as the Grand Marshal of the parade.

Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 -- 

The Gumbo Cook off inside the Lake Charles Civic Center's Exibition Hall with food and Live music.  Starts at 8am to 2pm and it is open to the public.  $5 gets you in the door and children 5 and under are free.

1st Annual Iowa Mardi Gras Dance and Gumbo cookoff at the KC Hall in Iowa, Louisiana on Saturday February 22nd, 2020 featuring a cookoff and live music from Leroy Thomas.

Sunday, February 23rd, 2020  --

Mardi Gras Children's Parade starts at 3:30pm and starts from the Lake Charles Civic Center and will head down Ryan Street from downtown Lake Charles and will end at Sale Road.

Monday, February 24th, 2020 --

10th annual Lundi Gras Party at Cowboy's Night Club with The Zydeco Boss Keith Frank.  Doors open at 8pm.

Mardi Gras Royal Gala at the Lake Charles Civic Center and starts at 7pm.  Admission to the gala is $7 if you purchase your tickets in advance, $8 at the door. Children 5 and under are free.

Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 is Mardi Gras Day -- 

Jeeps on Parade will start at 2pm and will leave the Lake Charles Civic Center and head South on Ryan Street and will end at 12th Street.

Krewe Of Krewe's Parade start at 5:00pm.  The parade will start  at the Lake Charles Civic Center and head South Ryan Street in Lake Charles and travel to down to East Sale Road.  .
