2020 McNeese Cowboy Football Schedule

I'm crossing everything I can in hopes the 2020 college football season will play without a hitch.

I'm very excited for this season for many reasons. Obviously, the biggest reason is the hiring of Frank Wilson, a NOLA native, as our new head coach. Wilson comes with a great recruiting pedigree while at LSU. In 2011, he was honored as the Recruiter of the Year by Rivals.com. In 2014, he was the NFL.com Top Recruiter in College Football and Wilson also was honored to be named the 2015 Scout.com SEC Recruiter of the Year. Also in 2011, he was named as the nation's top assistant coach at his position (RB). For the last four years, Wilson was the head football coach at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Not only will his excellent recruiting help build McNeese back up to a FCS national powerhouse like in our Bobby Keasler years, but being involved in the LSU machine, he knows what it takes to build and maintain a high caliber football team.

The McNeese Cowboys are looking to return plenty of stars this year from last year's squad like QB Cody Orgeron, RB Elijah Mack, WR Cyron Sutton, DB Andre Sam, LB Carlos Scott, CB Darion Dunn, WR Trevor Begue, LB Kordell Williams, and many more.

I love how for the last two seasons, we've gotten the season kicked off by playing a Louisiana-based University. In my humble opinion, we need to incorporate Louisiana Tech into the fold as well.
