Animal rights groups do get a lot of bad press and, while I'm a pet owner and animal lover you certainly couldn't call me an animal rights activist. Still, I was very moved by the video of a young bull being freed from his tiny portion of a stall where he was being kept in a German slaughter house.

German animal rights group Gut Aiderbichl wants to help all animals, but was only able to rescue one cow and bring it to their sanctuary. After being freed, Bandit the cow literally jumped and danced for joy and very clearly showed deep gratitude to Christian for freeing him.

Now, I doubt the bull was aware that he was suddenly free and wouldn't end up on a plate, but there sure seems to be a lot of happy dance going on in this video. Just sayin'.
