McNeese State University and the Calcasieu Parish School Board are joining forces to offer a new program called "Teach for Calcasieu Program" who want to be teachers but don't have the necessary certifications.

The program is designed to bolster the number of teachers across SWLA in school subjects, like math and science, in area middle and high schools that are lacking enough educators.
