By popular demand, Jazz In The Arts is bringing back the Women of Jazz concert this Sunday at Central School Arts and Humanities Ben Mount Theatre. This is a great family concert and features some of the best jazz musicians and singers in the area, and this area does have plenty of talent. Some of the featured entertainers will be: Salemah Broussard, Grace "Gigi" Smitherman, Jacqueline "Jakisu" Ellis, Leah Robinson, Yvonne Marie Manning, Eugenia Smith, Santanna "Brown Sugar" Williams, Breanne Davis, Kaitlyn Harrison, and the young jazz group "Foot in the Door" (Sophie Medwick, McKayla Smith, Sarah Medwick).

If you're a jazz fan, prepare yourself. I've seen these people play together before, and you're in for some world class entertainment. The Lake Area has a wealth of incredibly talented jazz artists, and I promise you that you'll be amazed at the level of talent that will be on stage for this show.

Just about everyone is familiar with several of the members of the Jazz in the Arts Rhythm Section. Those musicians include Chester Daigle II on piano, Jairus Daigle on violin, Jay Ecker on bass, Jeff Simon on guitar, Ronnie Rocio on drums, and Sylvia Hankin on percussions.

The concert starts at 6:00 p.m. General admission is $20. Student admission is $5 with school ID. Admission is free for children 12 years of age and under.
