Did you know that, on average, it takes about 3 minutes and 46 seconds to complete the drive-thru at most restaurants? That doesn't sound like such a bad amount of time, now does it? Still, after reading that stat, we were curious about just who had the fastest drive-thru times.

A recent study was conducted about just how long it takes most restaurants with a drive-thru to get your order, get the food out and get it right. The study was based on research conducted by having people go out and order at various fast food places. Roughly 2,000 orders were placed at roughly 15 different food chains around the country.

Here are the top 5 Restaurants from the survey:

1.  Wendy's.  Wendy's was the only chain tested that came in in under the three minute mark with a very impressive 2 minutes and 49 seconds.

2.  Dunkin' Donuts . . . 3 minutes and 1 second.

3.  Burger King . . . 3 minutes and 21 seconds.

4.  KFC . . . 3 minutes and 24 seconds.

5.  McDonald's . . . 3 minutes and 28 seconds.

I know you've got to be wondering who came in last. Well, I wasn't particularly surprised that it was Starbucks. They don't get in a hurry at Starbucks. In fact, their average order/delivery time was just under 5 minutes.

One cool part of the study included just how accurate these fast food places were when it came to getting your order right. Basically, the study says that the most accurate is Carl Jr. with a 97% accuracy rate. Chick-Fil-A came in second with 95% and Taco Bell hit with 91.7%

I wonder how these national averages stack up locally.
