So, what's the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Louisiana? It's Antoine's on St. Louis Street in New Orleans. Opened in 1840, it's still only the 12th oldest restaurant on the list. It's also the oldest family-run restaurant in America.

So what's the oldest restaurant in America? It appears to be the '76 House in New York, which may date back to 1686.
