Wanted for Attempted Murder

This is a picture of Jon Dalton McCarty of DeQuincy and he is wanted in connection with a June 13 assault and stabbing at a home in the 600 block of North Grand Avenue.

According to DeQuincy Police Det. Tom Threet,  McCarty is wanted in connection with a June 13 assault and stabbing at a home in the 600 block of North Grand Avenue.

Allegedly,  McCarty punched his girlfriend and knocked her to the ground. When another man attempted to intervine McCarty stabbed him in the chest according to eye witnesses.

Authorities say they believe that friends and or family of McCarty may be hiding him and that would make them accessories after the fact and they, too could face very serious charges.

McCarty, is facing a $300,000 bond. McCarty is a white male, 5-foot-8 and 132 pounds.
