I haven't played Monopoly in years, but I used to be pretty much addicted to the game when I was a kid. My best friend, Patrick McClure and I would have marathon Monopoly games in a room Pat's dad had built in the attic. We used to see just how long we could make a game last and sometimes they would go on for days.

Of course, in order for those games to last so long, we had to play fast and loose with the rules. I'm pretty sure that very few people actually follow the real rules because they make for a pretty boring game that can take less than an hour to play.

We never thought about the match involved in the game, but it turns out that there are some probabilities in the game that, if you are aware of them, can help you to win. Here are a few of those mathematical facts to help your Monopoly strategy.
