Update — Tropical Depression 2 Now Tropical Storm ‘Barry”

As predicted, the storm system headed into Southern Mexico and, while it still poses no threat to the U.S. , the system has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Barry.

Highest sustained winds in Barry are now at 40 MPH, but since the system has made landfall it is expected to weaken throughout the day.  Here is the view of Barry, from WeatherUnderground
