Twinkie the Kid Rides Again

The period of mourning is over! Twinkies will not only be back on the shelves, but they will have an even longer shelf life!

But, it's not just Twinkies that will return; We'll also have Dong Dongs and other great junk food again.

Twinkies are back! The popular Hostess dessert returns to store shelves on Monday. Twinkies - along with Ding Dongs, Donettes and other Hostess products - will be available for purchase again for the first time since late last year, when Hostess shuttered its doors due to financial problems. But two private equity firms have jumped in to save the company - and the public’s sweet tooth. Apparently, the Twinkies will be new and improved. There have reportedly been top-secret tweaks made to keep the treats fresher longer. It has long been a joke that Twinkies last forever, but now they’ll actually last twice as long as the “old” Twinkies. They’ll have a 45 day shelf-life.
