Back in 2006, construction began on the brand new World Trade Center. As well all know the building is more than just a replacement of the World Trade Center that was destroyed back in 2001. The new building, while functional, is a tribute to those who lost their lives and a tribute to the American Spirit as well.

It took all those years to finish the magnificent new building, but thanks to time-lapse photography, we can watch the structure being built literally from the ground up. In honor of the opening of One World Observatory in New York City, Earth Cam posted this dramatic time lapse of One World Trade Center being built over eleven long years.

It's an amazing piece of video to watch. When it starts off, it looks like chaos, but as things become to come together, you can appreciate the work it took to build this amazing structure.
