This Didn’t Happen When I Was A Kid!
Mother knows best? Maybe not-according to a Shine by Yahoo story, nearly 65% of American parents consult their kids before making decisions and setting rules. Almost 30% of parents let kids make most household decisions- including what groceries to buy and what to make for dinner- and many don’t make big purchases (think computers and cars) without talking to their children about it first. Of course, when it comes to technological gadgets, it’s true that a teenager may be more knowledgeable than his mom. But letting your kids decide what to make for dinner sounds like a recipe for disaster- a very unhealthy recipe.
