Thieves Butt Dial 911 — Discuss Crime While Operator Listens

It happens to the best of us. You know how it is, you go to break into someones car to steal drugs and the next thing you know, the cops are there because you butt dialed 911. No? Well, I'm glad to hear it. But, two guys did just that and now they are wards of the county.

So, it seems that these two guys really had to break into a parked car. They had reason to believe that there were prescription drugs in the car and they just had to get them out. So, they set about their work without knowing that one of them had butt dialed 911. The emergency operator couldn't get an answer to the, "what's your emergency" question, but he was able to hear the pair of thieves discussing the crime and what they were going to do next. I'm no lawyer, but I'd say that might be an admission of guilt.

Police were dispatched and orange jump suits no doubt distributed. Hey, do they ask your size when they give you one of those or are they all pretty much "one size fits all?"
