Residents of Lake Charles are invited to review the 2018 Action Plan, "which identifies the specific activities to be undertaken with federal funds annually received through the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and HOME Grants programs", said a media release.

"The City anticipates receiving $661,553 in CDBG funds and $356,716 in HOME funds in the 2018 fiscal year. These funds are made available to the City on an annual basis from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development."

"The plan available for review provides a framework for activities and expenditures for housing, homeless needs, and various community development issues such as public (human) services, public infrastructure and improvements, and economic development."

Here are four locations in the City where the plan can be reviewed:

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center
  • Central Library
  • City Hall, 5th Floor
  • The City of Lake Charles Transit Center

The plan is available for review and comment through August 1, 2018.
