"The Brady Bunch" is returning to TV!  You might say that's the "good part" of the "bad news". I wouldn't look for the squeaky-clean show that entertained millions in the 70's. Why, you ask? Because Vince Vaughn is part of the deal.

The buzz  in Hollywood is that CBS has begun development on a ‘Brady Bunch’ reboot to be co-developed, and executive produced by Vince Vaughn.  The revival of the 70's family favorite will be overseen by CBS TV studios. CBS has already aired revivals of ‘Hawaii Five-0,’ ‘90210.’ The CW will be reviving "Beauty and the Beast" this Fall.

As you might expect, the revival will bear little or no semblance to the original Sherwood Schwartz production. In the remake, Bobby will be a divorced dad who remarries a woman with a "bunch" of kids. Bobby and his new wife and family will interact with his ex-wife and family and hilarity will ensue. Sure it will.

Vaughn supposedly stole...I mean, came up with the idea after teaming up with  Lloyd Schwartz, son of the late Sherwood Schwartz, to executive produce  Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Prods.  CBS TV previously own the rights to ‘The Brady Bunch’ by inheriting them from Paramount TV. An interesting part of the production team will be Peter Billingsly. You'll remember Billingsly as "Ralphie" from the movie "A Christmas Story." He's the kid that wanted a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas.

Right now, the project is still in the planning stages and nothing has been finalized. The concerned parties are still working on a script. There has also been no word on casting. Whether or not any of the original cast members will even be asked to take part in the project is unknown.
