The Best Take Ever on Standardized Testing

Now, I know quite a number of teachers and I can honestly say that not a single one of them likes standardized testing. None of them them think that standardized testing proves anything and none of them are on the fence when it comes to the subject they hate standardized testing across the board.

On his show Last Week Tonight, John Oliver takes on the 500 pound gorilla in the room with unabashed disdain. You'll find that Oliver finds anything and everything to do with standardized testing moronic.

I couldn't agree more. There are very few jobs available out there that depend on how you did on a standardized test. Parents hate them. Students hate them, teachers hate them. They remind me a bit of the Contraband Days board who seems to be saying, "That didn't work. Let's keep doing it."
