So, I was out and about Saturday morning just taking care of a few errands when I noticed something you don't see very often in Lake Charles. Right there on the corner of Ryan and Prien Lake Road, I noticed a small crowd of people. Now, I have to tell you that my first thought was, "Okay, what are we protesting now?"

As I got closer, I could plainly see that it wasn't a protest at all. The first sign I read said, quite simply, "Honk! Pray the Rosary." Interesting. I decided to check it out and see what was going on. I approached the crowd to talk to some of the people at the scene, but when I approached them I noticed that they were indeed doing as the sign said. They were all praying the rosary. I decided the thing to do was wait until they were finished then perhaps interview a few people. I also decided that, as long as I was there, I would join them.

After the rosary was concluded I approached the man in the picture for an interview. He was very polite, but informed me that he didn't want to be interviewed that he was there just to say the rosary. He did tell me that they plan to gather at that location on the 2nd Saturday of each month and simply pray the rosary.

As I stood there talking to them just about every car that passed honked in support of what they were doing. It really was a great atmosphere. The group did what they were there to do and departed. For my part, I told them I would help spread the word. With that in mind, the next gathering will be on Saturday, March 11th.

I think I'll be there. How about you?
